Clairvoyant

Clairvoyant is originally a 17th century French word.  Its two components, clair and voyant together mean clear vision.

The word, since its origin, has been used to describe a metaphysical ability of a psychic to get information about a person, object, incident or a situation without the use of physical or sensual resources.

Clairvoyant ability is a kind of extra-sensory perception. The word clairvoyant is not only used to refer to the psychic power but also the person who possesses this power.

The clairvoyant power of the psychics enables them to ‘see’ an incident or a situation generally happening at a distant place that is normally out of reach of the physical senses. In this sense it may also be called distant viewing power.

Clairvoyant psychics are known not only to know the immediate present, but also the future and the past. Clairvoyance is thus also known as pre-recognition or prophecy.

Clairvoyant powers are associated with certain natural, innate powers of the psychics. They are known by various names such as the mind’s eye, third eye, sixth sense, intuition, remote viewing and so on.

Clairvoyant is, in fact, an all-encompassing word. It covers a broad spectrum of psychic powers which overlap and complement each other.

Clairvoyant psychics can ‘see’ a situation, event, process or a person in their totality. It means that they can see, hear, feel, smell, taste and thus take cognizance of a problem in all its dimensions—in its entirety. Each one of these powers is known by its psychic name.

Here are some of the powers that can broadly be included in the power of clairvoyance.
